Privacy Policy


This privacy policy covers products and services (“Services”) operated by Event Technologies Ltd (“we”, “our”, or “us”). These Services are delivered both directly to users and indirectly on behalf of our contracted clients, their subsidiaries and their nominated third parties (“Clients”) for the facilitation of organised activities and events (“Events”), in the form of mobile applications, websites and other digital platforms. To this extent we act as both data processors of Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) provided by Clients and data controllers for information collected though the Services.

Your privacy is of great importance to us. As a user of our Services, you are valued by us and we will take appropriate measures to protect the information provided by and collected from you through the Services.

As our business changes and grows, so will this policy. Please check back periodically for additions and changes. Individual Services may have their own Privacy Policies, which will apply as extensions to this policy, providing more definition on data collected, purposes, processing partners & retention periods specific to that Service, which will be displayed where possible or made available on request.

Data collected though the Services are handled by the following third parties (“Suppliers”) under contract with us for the stated purposes:

  • UKFast.Net Limited – Secure server hosting
  • TSOHost – Secure server hosting
  • MailGun.com – Email automation
  • SendGrid – Email automation
  • ClickSend – SMS messaging automation
  • Stripe – Payment processing


EU Data subjects have rights to request the erasure, rectification, restriction of processing as well as the right to receiving a copy of all data held by us on the requesting data subject. If you request erasure of PII, you acknowledge that residual PII may continue to reside in our records and archives, where it is not technically feasible for us to remove this information, but we warrant that it will not be used for commercial purposes.

Data subjects have the right to withdraw consent for information collection at any time.

Data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in their member state.

Data subjects may access their rights by contacting the data controller specified in this agreement using the contact details provided.



PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION


Areas of PII that may be collected as part of the use of the Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Name
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number
  • Address
  • Business Information (Job Role, Office, Market etc.)
  • Geospatial data
  • IP address
  • Payment Card Details (Collected directly by our payment processor)
  • Other relevant information as requested by Clients

PII is collected for some or all of the following purposes:

  • Organisation of Events
  • Provision of activities at Events
  • Tracking of driving activities on Events for the purpose of safety and insurance
  • Sending of Event email communications
  • Processing of payments related to Events
  • Any other reasonable purpose to facilitate the delivery of Events

We will not disclose, sell, trade, or rent PII, except for disclosure to our Suppliers to the extent necessary to provide the Services. In certain rare circumstances, we may be compelled by law to disclose your PII, such as in connection with a lawsuit or other legal proceeding. In the event disclosure is required, we will use reasonable commercial efforts to try to secure confidential treatment of any disclosed PII, including prohibiting use of the information for any commercial purpose.

In addition, we reserve the right to disclose certain information when, in our sole discretion, we determine that such disclosure is necessary to protect us or our employees, their rights or property, or to protect the physical safety or health of our employees or a member of the general public.

Collected PII may be passed to the relevant Client & this will be managed in accordance to their own Data Protection & Privacy Policies. We are not responsible for any use or right to be forgotten by them.

PII will be removed from our servers within 3 months of the last related activity on an event, unless otherwise required by our Client.

Where payments have been made, relevant PII will be maintained by the payment processor, Stripe, for as long as is required by them.


COOKIES


In order to facilitate some interactions within our Services we store some minimal data in your browser, commonly referred to as “cookies”. These are set by us and our Suppliers for necessary functional and analytical purposes only. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse or inform of cookies, however, your election not to accept may diminish your experience of the Services.
